Do any of you have ties altered to the perfect length? Funny I'd never thought of it before.
Khaki is an Indian word (place name?) and, as a color, means the color of white fabric died with tea, which the Brits did in India for soom reason I've forgotten.
Love the suit and all the accessories. Like the break and the narrow ankle. I would think a simple hem is what you'd normally do with plain front cotton pants- even as part of a suit, but I don't know. What would the person above who commented on the hem like to see? I would not mind a sleeker, more sophisticated shoe, but I don't think a more casual one would work with the formality imparted by the shirt/tie/pocket square.
Hmm, lot to say about this opne. Last but certainly not least, this is a really beautiful photograph! Other than that the fabric of the suit lookes really good and it being creased only makes it look better. Lots of nice quirks like the unbuttoned shirt sleeves, the special pocket square, the creasy pants and the striped colourful shirt. Which gives me the feeling that the length of the tie is something he is well aware of.
Still can't bring myself to like the length of the pants though, even though it fits with the "big pants" thing he's got going on.
Two inches shorter pants and he wouldn't look like a schoolboy anymore.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17177804.post-29210080840437517612008-06-23T01:40:00.000-04:002008-06-23T01:40:00.000-04:00Funny. I think, if anything, they give me a clue as to his character --which is invaluable when anyone is writing a novel!
He looks like he moves very quickly and oversees things with an eagle eye. He starts off every morning with a nicely pressed suit --by 10:00 a.m. he's been moving around so much, giving orders, walking back and forth that he's getting a bit wrinkled. By noon --he's taken the jacket off and is down to his nice shirt and tie.Kananihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317494343177263398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17177804.post-49950742108290880222008-06-22T22:53:00.000-04:002008-06-22T22:53:00.000-04:00sharp.sharp.Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08489990781093468891noreply@blogger.com
