Comments on "On the Street....Cashmere Denim, Pitti Uomo"
The cut is perfect. simple as that
So chic, gorgeous, manly. Love the mustard colored tie!
I <3 you, Luca!
I love the blended subtlety of his pieces, but I think the shirt kills it.
Great suit jacket, works so well with his shirt, tie and pocket scarf combination.
live once
He looks so chic, love the mustard tie against the print on the shirt.

I love that material.
add a crazy facial hair and he would look very 70'...
h.
He has always had an extraordinary eye for colour. His ensembles are, without exception, pleasing to the eye. Go Luca!
:)
great, always put together perfectly. the style icon that Id would pick over anyone to borrow clothing from
Go Luca making always proud the Rubinacci legacy all the best !! R :)
I can't remember his name, but I've never seen a bad picture of him. He looks sensational. Extraordinary eyes. It's a restrained look, but there's so much detail to interest. Lovely movement and image.
The choice of colours is highly innovative but the jacket is impeccable: great cut, the fabric has a great weight & falls perfectly.
Thanks for sharing.

Actually brilliant! :)
Love this post!

Very polished look. Very tight length at the sleeves. Well put together.
Come on. If it weren't Rubincci or a photo on this blog, you'd think "nice jacket, nice shirt, but what's with that tie and pocket square." The combo isn't doing it for me; actually, I think it looks pretty bad. The jacket is nice, but I disagree that it fits him perfectly -- looks a little full in the bottom, and the overall effect is blocky.
Maybe it is the angle or the moment, but the pants look a little baggy too. Also, I'm fine with the sleeve length on the jacket, but without a longer sleeve on the shirt it doesn't work as well.
I love this blog, but I tend to think the comments are too gushing. I think it would be much better if folks were generally more willing to give a more balanced review of the outfit.
It's style like this that is the reason why I write about denim everyday. Loves!

totally classy with some touch of bright colors :D
www.themadtoter.blogspot.com
it's a look, but it's also a costume.
this is one of the few denim suits that's a success. I really like the way this is put together, and it doesn't seem to restrictive
He looks so sharp! I wish every man dressed like that
Simply perfect. I like this man.
just love women in your blog... hate most men style you choose...
i love the clean style http://clothingdoll.blogspot.com/2011/01/old-stuff-new-stuff.html

Beautiful. The fabric, the cut, the colors the photo. Only in Italy, really, like no where else.
love at first sight!
It is all about the hat!!!! Have to love a good bobble hat!!!
could I get in contact with this gentleman to marry his suit?
http://sayitallnoww.blogspot.com/
He is more handsome if he wears sunglasses.
Hey could somebody tell Sartorialist that there is a fashion week going on in NY right now!
He has great eyes!
ooo. The tailoring on his jacket is tremendously cool. It looks like he just took it from a steamer. I like the gold tone against that denim color jacket. I dont why, but its mesmerizing. I cant look away! :)
finally a young bald man is pictured!
Wow, simply perfect.

this gentlemen always looks so impeccable!
Great combination of colours and fabrics. Especially, the pocket square. However, I don't like that the pockets of his jacket are on the outside.
His eyes are so blue... sigh.
OMG! Can someone find a man like him for me?! he's absolutely perfect! kisses to everybody
The tie! The tie! Cool. :) Loving this suit.
woww luca!!..this men is the new generation of men's classic!!
he also runs his own blog
http://www.marianorubinacci.net/club/
The thing I love about this guy is he always looks as though he dresses every day as though it's the most special day of his life and then shares it with those who see him. He makes the most amazing colour, form, tone and texture decisions. Imagine seeing him every morning at your local cafe, what pleasure he must bring. Wish you'd photographed him with his beanie on though!
Cool cool suit and tie, amaazing!

The sunshine is cutting his suit even sharper!

Cashmere denim? I had no idea such a thing existed. I want it...cost of cotton is up, cashmere is already pricey. Will this be the trendy, expensive fabric of the year?
Luca is the man. Never disappoints.

All right, Anonymous at 7:23, Stand by for more gushing. I think t his look is fabulous, whether it's on the blog or not. If I saw this man on the street I would probably forget to look where I was going and walk into a sign post. The jack it very flattering, it makes his chest and shoulders look broader, his waist look slimmer and the bottom floats away from his body just slightly because he doesn't have the bottom button done. Pants? Beautiful fabric, though maybe they need pressing, I can't really tell for sure. The tie is so luxurious and is grounded perfectly for daytime by the plaid shirt. The pocket square adds a certain crispness to the whole thing. His hands and blue eyes are stunning. I could go on about the rest, but won't.
blue the colour of the year.
from cornflower to denim to inky navy and all shade variations therein.
i have seen denim cashmere jeans for women.
what is interesting is the cut of his suit..and it's something i've been noticing with more frequency.
a narrowness to the silhouette of men's apparel.
once again, the shorter cuff..and i would imagine his trousers were the new shorter length as well.
I love the mix of patterns and colors, especially the marigold tie against the blue suit.
One day in the not too distant future we will look back on these photos of people wearing jackets and trousers that are obviously way too SMALL and SKIMPY on the people wearing them. We will once again realize that it was simply the designers trying to sell a new style for this season and the next to create sales and then move on.
Really, the tie and the shirt and the jacket. Definitely not. Let's move on
luca's outfits always look different and innovative!!
Go on..u rocking !!!
Nota Bene: Mr Rubinacci does not have his sleeve two inches above his wrist bone, he has it right on it.

Learn a bit about Italian tailoring before you make facile comments. It's not my preferred look but this slimmer cut has been around a long time.
nice............EXCEPT for the dam lumberjack shirt...jeez Scott. Cut it out. Lets move on.
A well built man in a quality jacket is allways a sight.
He's wearing sharply tailored, gorgeous garments.
The unlikely clash between jacket, shirt, tie and pochette does leave me wondering, though.
Out of all the thousands of choices his wardrobe must surely offer, how did he come to this?
Rebellion?
Random choice?
Not yet fully understood genius?
I used to think Mr. Rubinacci could do no wrong, except I scrolled down and glanced at the fit of the pants. What's with the crease... there? Sorry, should have pressed them better or something. As for the denim cashmere, wow! How does he get the combos he does?
He might wanted to give extra kick with the shirt but I think it's boring. Besides jacket' arms are twisted.
Cool suit.
I'd love to see more of the shirt cuffs peeking out. I think it would make the jacket look better proportioned if they did. I'm with Scott on thinking visible cuffs look great.
What a beautiful human being.
Great picture!
PJ i completely agree with u !!! For me Luca is not yet fully understood genius !!!
He is building a new era of Men's classic, more young, with color and happiness !!!
The Jacket looks too small.
very nice

nice
'I love this blog, but I tend to think the comments are too gushing. I think it would be much better if folks were generally more willing to give a more balanced review of the outfit.' Yes, I definitely agree with you. To me the fit isn't all that great, the pocket square is a bit random and, I'm sorry, the shirt is hideous, that pattern wouldn't fit with anything because it's just ugly. So why are so many people saying they totally love it, surely not everyone must like the whole outfit perfectly?
And, if I'm not mistaking, it's not always about the outfit as a whole, small details are equally important. So Scott posting this, doesn't mean he loves everything about it, he finds things interesting about the outfit. A more balanced review would highlight the interesting parts better.
The tie and hankie are pretty amazing! Is he wearing bracelets? I can't quite tell, if he is, kudos to him!

This man is so nice *-* and his look is perfect ;)
Ps. I love tour blog and all yours photos :) with love, Daniela
No--definitely not for me this time--it all clashes--both in colour and style. Sometimes people can work it so that the clashing actually blends somehow--but not this time--maybe traditional styling is not meant for clashing--I don't know --if this is what this man wanted. Then again I have seen it work well--maybe it's going really far out with it that needs to happen. This is all too subtle.
I think all the pieces in themselves are great esp the tie, but just not together.
Also agree with some that the fit is not right. The sleeves seem too baggy (and twisted) for the main body.
yes anonymous non-gushers - I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS OUTFIT...
Why? because it clashes... a yellow tie! with a checkered shirt! hell yes! its quirky I could see Andre 3000 wearing the shirt tie combo.. but this man pulls it off in his own way with a standard grey suit!
Everything doesnt need to be matchy matchy to work. I have a mate who does a similar thing with a red checked shirt and a black tie embossed with a floral vine design and it works...
What an unexpected combination of pattern and colour. It looks great on him!
There's something unusual going on with the pattern on the tie missing from the upper right corner below the knot, and the image isn't of high enough resolution for me to figure it out. Any ideas what's going on there? I presume we're seeing the narrow end, peaking out, but that doesn't explain the sudden change in both directions.
it's definitely a knitted tie...I've noticed that he usually wears it showing the other side..it's so lucaaa!!
amazing combo...
wau this is a wonderfull site!
I would not have even thought of this color texture combination. That's why I love this site.
He is going to be my new screen saver. Deliciousness
Love the fabric of the suit. The combination of jacket, shirt and tie is nice. Not loving the pocket square and the fit of the pants are weird. Something is off there.
The suit is PERFECT.
Wow! I have never seen a denim suit look so good. It gives me ideas for my sewing but I cannot fit a top that well yet.
I am not sure if I like it..... but it is striking
