Longing & Lean

I love how everything in the look emphasizes a long and lean effect: the tie, the jeans, the belt, the stripes on the track jacket, even the white of the jacket zipper creates a stretched vertical line.

Good eye, Sartorialist.

Good widow's peak.
Sideburns add to the upward line.
Jaunty angled tie clasp.

Rockabilly feeling.
Cowboy boots?

Otto.

Really nice look. I wonder where he found the tan Fred Perry track jacket.

tie bar on a skinny thin tie? Is this fashionably acceptable?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:23 PM) :

Why not, skinny ties are more likely to move out of place than large ones.

I don't like the military look with the shirt and skinny tie in combination with the track jacket. Weird combo. Looks like he tries too hard.
